PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The goal of the two-part pilot water supply engineering project is to improve design and implementation for a full-scale project, and to develop and test joint-financing and cost-recovery schemes. The project will involve pumping water from the Tuyamuyun-Nukus main pipeline to a secondary distribution system, supplying about 25,000 people. The project includes a technical assistance component for engineering design and supervision, local and international tenders, construction supervision and operations.
