PIC visits aim to increase public awareness about the World Bank. For this purpose the PIC either invites some target audiences to visit PIC, or goes out to different institutions.

PIC has participated at Career Fair (PDF, 1.5MB) and shared information about the Bank opportunities for youth.  In the University of World Economy and Diplomacy there was held a learning event (PDF, 948KB) and  a discussion (PDF, 260KB) of J.Wolfensohn’s brochure  Save the Planet was arranged in Westminster university.  The girls from remote regions of Uzbekistan, the participants of TechGirls Project funded by IREX visited PIC in 2005 (PDF, 1.2MB), 2006 and 2007 (120KB, PDF) to get information about the World Bank activities in Uzbekistan. The finalists of the contest (PDF, 1.3MB) “Why the world needs the World Bank” were invited to PIC to get their awards.

PIC has recently started the World bank awareness campaign  in the regions of Uzbekistan. The first visit was to Samarqand State University (PDF, 907KB). In its efforts to raise public awareness about the World Bank activities, the World Bank Public Information Center in Uzbekistan has had a two hours session at the Model United Nations workshop (PDF, 975KB).
